Graduate Attributes
This unit will assist students to gain an understanding of forensic sexology; the definitions of anti-social and criminal behaviours; the psycho sociology of sexual behaviour; current research in anti-social sexual behaviour; issues of cultural awareness and international importance; defining sexual crimes; profiling the sex offender; punishment of the sex offender; and analysing and assessing sexual behaviours.

- 1 investigate and identify risk and protective factors associated with a client’s presentation
- 2 communicate ideas and concepts appropriate to a forensic sexology audience
- 3 critically analyse aspects of sexual behaviour with cultural sensitivity
- 4 identify and apply evidence based practice to develop a professional opinion regarding issues of forensic significance
