Graduate Attributes
The aim of this unit is for students to become professional educators within the field of sexology. Students will apply pedagogical and andragogical educational models; attend to the acquisition of knowledge, skills and sex positive attributes; develop and deliver curriculum and instruction for unique and sensitive issues that present in sexological educational contexts e.g. addressing healthy sexual behaviour for children, adolescents and/or adults; including and respecting diverse cultural/societal attitudes towards aspects of sexuality.

- 1 apply pedagogy and andragogy models appropriately within sexological educational contexts
- 2 plan a sexology educational program including appropriate curriculum and instruction
- 3 develop skills to deliver and facilitate sexuality education
- 4 justify an evidence based approach to sexological education

- 1 . apply sexological and relevant public health knowledge to protect, maintain and restore the health of communities
- 2 . synthesise and evaluate available evidence to inform decision making in the pursuit of innovative solutions in sexological public health settings
- 3 . locate, extract, interpret and assess relevant information from a range of sources and use it to support academic debate about and practical solutions to sexological issues
- 4 . communicate effectively with community members to promote understanding of sexological issues and disseminate sexological research to academic and professional audiences
