Graduate Attributes
The aim of this unit is for students to become accomplished with the professional practice of being a sexologist; working with clients, e.g. individual, couple, groups, agencies etc; engaging with the unique and sensitive issues that present in sexological practice e.g. working with sex offenders, rape victims etc; be able to apply bioethics to sexological settings and content; sexology case report writing; interpersonal skills for a sexologist; sexological policy.

Unit Learning Outcomes
- 1 apply the interpersonal skills required by a sexologist to assess a client and conduct client interviews
- 2 synthesise client information to produce a sexological report
- 3 critically reflect on and analyse individual strengths and challenges of being a sexologist

- 1 . apply sexological and relevant public health knowledge to protect, maintain and restore the health of communities
- 2 . synthesise and evaluate available evidence to inform decision making in the pursuit of innovative solutions in sexological public health settings
- 3 . locate, extract, interpret and assess relevant information from a range of sources and use it to support academic debate about and practical solutions to sexological issues
- 4 . communicate effectively with community members to promote understanding of sexological issues and disseminate sexological research to academic and professional audiences
